Orlando International Fringe Festival

From Visual Arts to Abstract Theater performances, will be envoke a heightened art experience all around this 12-day festival event. The Orlando International Fringe Festival is the longest running fringe festival held in the United States. The history of fringe festivals comes from artists who were not official entered in the Edinburgh International Festival in 1947. These artist literally staged performances "on the fringe" in basements of churches and empty storefronts. The type of theater created such a buzz over the years that it has traveled to all nations of the world!

This fringe festival will be held in the Shakespeare Center and the Orlando REP. In between the theaters there you can visit vendors from food to art, and hang out in the green tent. The green tent serves not only as a beer garden, but an area to socialize with peers enjoy the festival's activities. There are centers around the campus for childern to create their own art and introduce them to art of all forms.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

American Chronicles: Art of Norman Rockwell

The Orlando Museum of Art will be featuring the collection, American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell. Known mostly as a the people's painter, Norman Rockwell illustrated American life for covers and pages of the nation’s most recognized publications for 65 years. This exhibit will trace the steps of Rockwell's six decades of art and influence, as an American icon.

American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell, will offer patrons exclusive commentary and paintings that focus deeply on recurring personal themes, artistic and cultural influences, and the commerical significance he portrayed in his career. The display will feature the progress of his art from his childhood innocence in such paintings as No Swimming (1921), to powerful, consciousness-raising images like The Problem We All Live With (1964).

Walt Disney World's Year of a Million Dreams Continues!

The Sixth Annual Orlando Cabaret Festival

Titanic - The Experience

The Titanic, was not just a movie, but once the biggest luxury steam boat to attempt to cross the Atlantic. Titanic - The Experience will be on display and guests will be able to explore and interact with some of the ship's most famous features like, the grand staircase. Titanic - The Experience will also exhibit the history and science of the ship. Guests will have a chance to view artifacts and have take a tour with a guide who is dressed up as if it is 1912!

Family Festival

The biggest yet of the 5th Annual Family Festival presented by the Jewish Community Center of the Greater Orlando Area (JCC), will out do it self from years past! Entertainment for this event will be sponsored by Walt Disney World and will feature carnival rides and games. Each member of the family is bound to have a great time with six family areas. Here is a listing of the areas on site for the event:

Workshop Village -- An arts and crafts area for kids!
Health and Safety Zone -- Interactive programs that will help children learn about health and safety.
Toddler Town -- An interactive zone just for toddlers, complete with play areas and mini inflatable bounce houses just their size!
Circus Town --Jugglers, stilt walkers, face painters, carnival games, popcorn, cotton candy and lots of surprises!
Inflatable Forest -- An area with lots of bounce houses and a rock wall for our big and little bouncers!
Go Green/ Planet Earth Area -- A special area where kids and grown ups can learn how to help protect and renew our environment. Lots to see and do here like green craft projects, fun hands on activities, recycling searches, relay games, and much more!

Simpsons - The Ride

Woo-Hoo! America's most beloved family, The Simpsons, will be featured as a new attraction at Orlando's Universal Studios! With help from the Matt Groeging and James L. Brooks, this ride will immolate a side of Springfield unexplored; Krustyland! Patrons will be able to get the full grasp of Krustyland in the motion simulated ride that jolts, drops, and twirls guests around in a 80ft dome! Krustyland will also offer patrons the Tooth Chipper Roller Coaster, uninspired musical venues, and inept fortune tellers! With original casts voices around echoing in the park around every corner, and merchandise as if you were in Springfield, this ride is a must for all fans of the Simpsons.

Orlando Ballet presents Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty is a classic tale of a princess in trouble and in need of a hero. Penned back in 1697 by Charles Perrault and originally written in 1634 by Giambattista Basile as the tale Sun, Moon, and Tilia. Sleeping Beauty in the modern times has become a world wide success from Disney's Rendition of it in 1959.
