Truly living up to its name, this east Winter Park bar is indeed a refuge for Orlando's metalheads and other assorted rockers, although it also functions pretty well as a familiar neighborhood bar. Tucked into an older strip mall, The Haven is next to a favorite pizza spot - sometimes, said pizza spot provides coupons for drink specials at the bar - and though the music inside is often hard and loud, the staff and crowd are uniformly friendly.
It's not the most modern-looking place, but if it were, that wouldn't be very rock, would it?
