UCF opened its state-of-the-art softball facility March 14, 2006, and it speaks volumes for how far the program has come, and where it is headed. The field is professionally manicured, and includes a batting cage, roomy dugouts and an outfield lined with palm trees behind the fence. The Golden Knights have access to a spacious locker room with a lounging area and a separate spot for training tables. Along with comfortable offices for each coach, the facility also has a conference room, concession stand and ticket booth. Student-athletes also take advantage of the impressive batting cages and bullpen area nearby the main building and home dugout.
