The Orlando Amway Arena opened in January of 1989, and houses approximately 17,250 seats, not including floor seats. Concerts, games for the Orlando magic and the Orlando Predators, as well as other various world class sporting events are held at this venue. Seats are classified into two sections, the lower and upper bowls, with the former bearing the more desirable seats. The interior is filled with metallic colors and TV monitors for easier viewing, evoking a high-tech minimalist atmosphere.
The Arena is part of a larger entertainment complex called the "Orlando Centroplex." The Centroplex includes the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, The Orlando Expo Centre, Tinker Field, and The Florida Citrus Bowl. It is run by the City of Orlando.
